A set of 20 sheets of writing paper perfectly sized for a gift message or a few simple words. A study in mark making, Remark expresses how each line is unique even when drawn with the same action and the same length.

Higashi creates her works surrounded by nature at her home and atelier located at the foot of the Yatsugatake Mountains at an altitude of 1180m. Her work features whatever medium that catches her eye on her desk from coloured pencils and pens to acrylics and watercolours, and is characterised by a bold and colourful style.
